DKP Wood Railings and Stairs, a trusted name in custom stair and railing fabrication and installation for over 30 years, is looking for a skilled and reliable Stairs & Railings Installer to join our growing team in Bay Shore, Long Island.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install custom staircases and railings (wood, metal, glass, or mixed materials) at residential and commercial job sites.
- Follow layout drawings, blueprints, and work instructions with accuracy.
- Prepare and set stair stringers, treads, rail posts, balusters, handrails, and other components to ensure a perfect fit and finish.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and secure materials.
- Perform quality checks during and after installation to guarantee stability, level lines, and clean details.
- Protect client properties by maintaining a clean and organized worksite.
- Communicate with supervisors and project managers about progress, challenges, and schedule updates.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of stair and/or railing installation experience or related carpentry work.
- Solid understanding of tools, materials, and installation techniques typical to staircase and railing work.
- Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and layouts.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and quality finishes.
- Able to work independently and collaborate with other trades on-site.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites on Long Island and the NYC area.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience. Exact terms will be tailored individually based on skills and contribution.
Schedule:
Full-time position, Monday through Friday (occasional weekend work as needed).
